The CANSA Shavathon 2012

In support of cancer survivors I hosted and MC'ed the annual CANSA Shavathon in Pretoria at Centurion Mall this weekend. I was so excited to be asked to MC and officially open the day, which is in support to fight cancer by making more people aware and the idea of shaving or spraying your hair whilst giving a donation for cancer research is just an amazing initiative to be a part of. I also personally shaved a few brave individuals hair on the day. It's a great campaign as it made me realize that I should be so much more grateful for my blessings in my life. Thank you CANSA Shavathon for asking me to participate in and MC your incredible event!

Edgars Music Radio and Jet FM Mr SA 2012 Radio Interview

I was lucky enough to get invited for an interview on Edgars Music Radio as well as Jet FM. I had the opportunity to chat about the Mr South Africa Competition bringing awareness to the Brand as well as Adriaan Berg's Current Nationwide Tour and what my plans for the future during this competition are. The show was broadcasted across the entire continent of Africa and I took calls from Zimbabwe, Botswana as well as Namibia. Thank you to the Team of Edgars and Jet for inviting me on the airwaves, as well as the 2 awesome DJ's DJ Motlatsi and DJ Ms Funkay. It was such an amazing and unforgettable day!

Joining Adriaan Bergh Mr SA 2011 on his Media 24 NationWide Tour

It was really a privilege joining Adriaan Bergh Mr SA 2011 on his current Tour across SA. I took a day off to spend the entire day visiting 4 different schools in Gauteng and to see first hand how he motivated young learners to dream big. It also was a great experience for me as I got to know Adriaan a little better which was exciting and interesting to me to find out how his works inspired others to become better. He really is changing lives one talk at a time and that is the exact reason why I entered Mr SA 2012- To motivate and inspire others to be the best you can be and make a positive change in your community and life.

Mr SA 2012 Cape Town Weekend Away

February 22, 2012
It was one of the most awesome experiences going away with the rest of the Top 12 Mr South Africa Finalists to Cape Town this past weekend for a team building weekend. We visited Robben Island as well as Table Mountain, Mzoli's Place, Gold Restaurant where I learnt how to play the african drums, One and Only for breakfast, Guguletu Township and we stayed at Park INN at the Radison Hotel. I put the competetion aside and really just enjoyed getting to know my fellow finalists for which now I can call friends. Adriaan Bergh also took a break from his busy schedule to come and join us for a few of our events which was great. There is just under a month left until the new mr South Africa gets announced and I just have to say that being a part of this competition has really made me a stronger person and whatever the outcome I wouldnt change it for the world. Here's to the last few weeks of Mr South Africa 2012.

Diepsloot Motivational Foundation Talk and Signing

On Saturday morning I visited Diepsloot Methodist Church and gave a talk to the girls of the Chrysalis Foundation and the community in the area on YOU and YOUR RIGHTS and the responsibilities we all have as individuals and as a community. It was so great that I could empower this neglected community and it taught me that we all need to know our basic human rights, like Right to be fed well but the responsibility to not waste food, The Right to an education but the responsibility to study and work hard, The Right to be taken seriously but the responsibility to listen to others. I learnt so much myself that through these talks and appearances I myself am becoming more empowered and wiser with every message I convey which I think is so important with the opportunity of this title. We all learn everyday and through learning we can correct past mistakes and continue going forward. Thank you to all my new friends- to the new class of 2012 for Chrysalis Foundation. A new year with new challenges and to new dreams. Here's to you girls! Love your 'white brother'
